Do you have any pre-race/run rituals or superstitions?
I don’t have any.
If you could run a race/run anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
I already did it. I wanted to run a marathon somewhere outside the U.S. I ran the Rock N Roll Marathon in 2012 in Madrid, Spain.
What's the funniest thing that's ever happened to you while running?
It’s not funny but it’s a nice story. We had a Track Club member who died in 2022. His name was Dick Jaworski. He used to make fun of me after I ran the Pace Series in 2010 because my shoes, they were always untied.
What's your favorite post-run indulgence?
I like having a beer after the Monday night runs at Schlafly.
Who's your running inspiration, and why?
I have two people. Dotty Gray, a former member of the Track Club who’s turning 100 this year and also Rae Mohrmann.
What's one piece of advice you'd give to a new runner?
Never give up.
Besides running, what's another hobby or passion of yours?
I like movies and I like helping people. I like volunteering – everywhere I go I volunteer. I like to meet new people from different places.
How long have you been involved with the Track Club?
Since 2010, the person who got me involved was my high school Spanish teacher, Betsey Anderson. She still runs the Pace Series.

Running gives me energy.
What is your favorite memory with the Track Club?
Running the Pace Series. I’ve met so many people through the Pace Series. Every summer I look forward to the Pace Series.
Do you run with any other clubs in the area?
No, but I run with my friends from the Track Club in different places.
