2025 Festival of Miles: Supporting Larry Stone

The St. Louis running community is known for its incredible support, and this year's Festival of Miles is a testament to that spirit. We're honored that Larry Stone has been selected as the 2025 Athlete in Need.
Larry is a familiar face to many of us – an avid runner, a dedicated Track Club member, and a long-time attendee of the Festival of Miles. In July 2024, Larry faced a life-altering challenge when he suffered a severe stroke. Just a few months later, he received a diagnosis of Stage IV metastatic prostate cancer.
Larry's journey has been marked by significant medical expenses and ongoing physical and cognitive hurdles. As a community, we have the opportunity to rally around him and provide much-needed support.
The Festival of Miles is more than just a track meet; it's a charity event where the proceeds from ticket sales directly benefit athletes in need. This year, we're focusing our efforts on raising funds to help Larry navigate his challenges.
