Summer Pace Series starts strong

What an incredible start to this year's St. Louis Track Club Summer Pace Series! We're thrilled to see so many familiar faces and welcome new ones to Forest Park for our unique weekly challenge. The energy has been absolutely fantastic, proving once again why this series has been a cherished tradition for more than five decades.
For those new to the game, the Pace Series isn't your average timed run. Here, it's all about predicting your pace. Before you hit the scenic paths of Forest Park, you'll declare your estimated finish time for the weekly course. Then, you'll set off with no watches or pace devices allowed, relying solely on your internal clock and feel for the run. The closer you get to your prediction, the more points you rack up! It's a true test of intuition and an excellent way to truly connect with your body's rhythm.
The first few weeks have already delivered some incredible performances, with runners showing off their uncanny ability to nail their times. It's been especially exciting to see the mix of participants. While we cherish our long-time members who have been part of this series for years – some even for its entirety! – we're also seeing a wonderful influx of the next generation of runners embracing the challenge. This blend of experience and fresh enthusiasm truly makes the Pace Series special.
On top of that, during the first run on June 11, participants donated $300 to Forest Park Forever to help with tornado cleanup, and the Track Club is matching that for a total $600 donation to the organization.
Whether you're a seasoned pro at pace prediction or just curious to try a new kind of run, there's still plenty of summer left to join in the fun. The Pace Series continues every Wednesday evening in Forest Park. Walkers start at 6:00
PM, and runners kick off at 6:15 PM.
