SLTC to help sponsor 5th
annual Big River Festival of Miles
6:30pm, Thursday, May 31, at Saint Louis University High School
Proceeds from
the meet, which features, 9 great races and many of the area’s top runners,
will benefit Chris
Lister, a local runner who was badly injured after being
hit by a car during a local road race this past winter.

The St.
Louis Track Club is proud to once again be a major sponsor of the fifth
annual Big River Festival of Miles presented by Under Armour,
which will take place at Saint Louis University High School on Thursday
evening May 31 at 6:30pm.
The
track meet features nine great races, costs just $5,
and all proceeds from the gate will go directly to aid local runner Chris
Lister. Last year's meet drew more than 1,200 fans to SLUH and over the last
four years the event has raised more than $20,000.
Races
include:
·
The GO! St.
Louis Healthy Kids Mile. Open to any 1st - 8th grader
·
MoMileSplit.com High
School All Star Miles featuring the region's best high school distance
runners
·
The Saint Louis Injury and
Rehab Corporate Relay. Area companies and organizations will race for the
unofficial title of Saint Louis' fastest business.
·
The night culminates with two professional
events: the AppWorldSolutions Women's 800 and …
·
And, of course, the Saint Louis
Track Club Elite Men's Mile!
As much as $7,000 in total prize money will be up
for grabs as some of America's 2012 Olympic hopefuls battle it out on the
track. The Men's Mile has produced eight sub-four-minute miles in the last
three years and is one of the fastest annual mile races in the country. For
more info check out Big Rivers’ Festival of
