Jackie Corn

Name: Jackie Corn

Age: 61

Born: St. Louis, Missouri and I went to Rosati Kain High School (necessary information for those from St. Louis!)

Occupation: Director of Development (fancy title for fundraising)

Family: 2 children - Roger and Anne, both out of the house

Favorite restaurant/movie/book: I like variety and trying new things.  I rotate places to eat, watch 3-4 or more movies a week, and read 2-3 books all the time

Why did you start running/walking: Cannot remember but I was living in House Springs.  I had summers off and maybe didn’t have anything else to do.

Running/walking since: 1981

SLTC member since: 1982

How did you learn about the SLTC: I met someone at St. Clair’s Resolution Run.  He was a SLTC member, and I got to know and like the SLTC people.

Weekly mileage: 25 average for running; also swim 1 mile 3 times a week and bike occasionally

Favorite place to run/walk: Forest Park and across the Golden Gate Bridge

Favorite workout: 8x400 repeats (just kidding!)

Most satisfying performance: any race where I felt I did my best

Favorite SLTC event: Fair St. Louis because it is usually around my July 4th birthday

What do you like about the SLTC:  People … running … conversations … and volunteering so I don’t have to run really hot or cold races

What do you want others to know about you: I like to have fun.
