Favorite book: Naked by David Sedaris, my favorite writer (hilarious!)
Why did you start running/walking: Part of my gymnastics training (age 7-17)
Running/walking since: Birth...ran in my first race in 8th grade
SLTC member since: 2003
How did you learn about the SLTC: A friend invited me to the Pace runs
Weekly mileage: 20-40 miles depending on racing schedule
Favorite place to run/walk: Wydown Blvd.; Mondess, Austria; the Alps; and Pike’s Peak
Favorite workout: Forest Park loop with SLTC on Wednesday nights
Favorite performance: Completing my first ultra-marathon; the Pike’s Peak Marathon; having my
parents see me complete my first 26.2
Favorite SLTC event: Frostbite Series (keeps me running year round)
What do you like about the SLTC: The people are so kind and friendly...like family
Other: My nickname is “Sparkle.” Two SLTC members gave me that name in 2003 because of my
