Why did you start running: My love for running developed when I discovered I could not run for more than 5 minutes on the treadmill. I quickly discovered how rewarding it was to run longer and stronger.

How did you learn about the SLTC: Through racing

Miles per week: 25-35 depending on the season

Favorite place to run: Forest Park, Cliff Cave Park, Grants Trail

Favorite workout: long runs

Most satisfying performance: Taking second place in my age group in the Pinckneyville 8k race last year!

Favorite SLTC event: Frostbite Series — the long one

What do you like about the SLTC: The affordability and friendly and helpful members

What would you like others to know about you: I am half the person I once was in weight; I have kept it off for over five years and am so grateful that I have discovered running!
