Why did you start running/walking: I started running seriously when I quit smoking. The races gave

me the motivation to kick the habit for good!

Running/walking since: Seriously running since Sept. 2005 but I’ve always been somewhat active for

the past 8 years. I weight 225 pounds at the age of 24 and lost that over time to reach my current weight

of 165

How did you learn about the SLTC: Forest Park Pavilion Message Board

Weekly mileage: 50-60 miles

Favorite place to run/walk: Forest Park; Lewis & Clark Trail

Favorite performance: 2006 Chicago Marathon (3:24) and finishing the Berryman 50-Mile Trail Run in

May 2006

Favorite SLTC event: Frostbite Series

What do you like about SLTC: Being involved in a group that lives, eats and breathes running like I do!
