Age: 48 ~ Born: Syracuse, NY ~ Occupation: Electrical Project Engineer ~ Favorite restaurant: Bandanas BBQ ~ Favorite movie: Field Of Dreams ~ Favorite book: The Firm, by John Grisham ~ Why did you start
running? I
started in high school ~ Running since: 1977 ~ SLTC member since: New ~ Miles per week: 25 ~ Favorite place to run: Creve Coeur Park ~ Favorite workout: 5-mile run ~ Favorite performance: Memphis Marathon, 1985 - 2:24:34 ~ Favorite SLTC event: Not sure yet ~ What do you like about
the SLTC: The
SLTC allows runners to network with others. ~ What would you like
others to know: I
have been struggling with injuries over the years and need to slow down and
settle into a routine that keeps me injury free. … Now that I am 48 years old
I really need to learn how to slow down from the 6-minute mile pace I used to
run when I was in my twenties. It looks like I will settle into a 7:45 to
8:00 minute/mile pace. Its not fast but I need to stay injury free and get
back into running as part of the change in my life. |
